Ascent on a single rope
In this lesson, you will learn one of the most efficient techniques for ascending a rope in canyoning: the “frog” method, borrowed from caving. This technique allows fast and energy-efficient progression through the coordinated use of the chest ascender, hand ascender, and foot loop. You will discover how to properly adjust your equipment, adopt the correct body position, and use your legs and core engagement to move efficiently upward. Mastering rope ascent is an essential canyoning skill, useful for overcoming obstacles, solving rope jams, or assisting during rescue operations.
