Some exposed traverses do not allow the installation of a standard handline and require the leader to move in full autonomy. This lesson shows you how to set up a retrievable handline with intermediate points while self-belaying and progressing with a descender. You will discover a versatile technique that is quick to implement and particularly well suited to terrain where the installation must be carried out by a single person.
